
ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE
Have you ever wanted to dive deeper than 18 meters (60 feet) or try drift diving? Here’s your chance! The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver course includes five adventure dives — deep diving and navigation are mandatory, and you can choose three additional dives based on your interests. It’s the perfect way to explore new dive experiences, build confidence, and enhance your underwater skills.
That’s what the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your SSI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives.

What will I do?
You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a list of Adventure Dives. The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver course includes a total of five dives — Deep Diving and Navigation are mandatory, and you can select three additional dives based on your interests. As a bonus, you’ll also receive a sixth dive for free!
During the Deep Dive, you’ll learn how to plan and manage dives while handling the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The other skills and knowledge you gain will depend on the adventure dives you choose — such as perfecting your buoyancy or mastering drift diving.
How long will it take?
This course takes 3 full days.
Learning objectives:

Become an advanced diver that is aware of it's surroundings

Learn the basic theory of specialty courses (all adventure dives belong to a specialty course)

Know how to plan and execute deeper dives (max. 30m/100feet)
Pre-requisites:

Minimum age 12 years (up to 15 years old you will earn Junior Advanced Adventurer)

Certified as (Junior) Open Water Diver

Before starting any SSI course, you MUST have a SSI Medical Statement filled out and maybe cleared by a physician. Download now.

What do I need to bring?
Bring a swimsuit, sunglasses and a sunhat.

Leave minimum 18-24 hours after diving before you fly or go to altitude!

You are required to complete a medical statement and need to be in reasonable physical health. If there is any question regarding your health you must see a doctor before we can allow you to partake in the course.
